Although this is not always a more serious symptom, it is important to consult your doctor to ensure that your kidney pain does not require immediate treatment.

After eating a greasy meal, some symptoms accompanied by kidney pain may imply the need for immediate medical treatment. These symptoms include vomiting, bloody stools or urine, dyspnea, abdominal stiffness or pain between the scapulae. Even if you have no serious symptoms, if your pain lasts 24 to 48 hours, consult your doctor.
